The Q552 UECP processor addresses cable network providers who have to generate valid and complete RDS data sets for their local stations.
It's a common problem that radio services that are collected via satellite feeds do not bring all necessary RDS data which are needed. Incomplete RDS data have to be completed manually for each station and each transmitter location.
The Q552 UECP processor solves this problem by providing a simple but powerful mapping engine which combines "dynamic" data (which are contained in the MPEG2-TS) with "static" information that can be assigned to each service.
The device can handle 74 radio services at once whereof 50 may contain dynamic information.
The RDS/UECP data can be managed for each service in a simple matrix view.
The created UECP data streams are combined to a new MPEG2-TS (without any audio information) and sent out to the local transmitter sites where they are combined with the audio streams and can be broadcasted as complete services with valid RDS.
Management and Control:
The Q552 UECP Processor can be managed conveniently via the integrated web interface with all common web browsers. The device can be monitored and managed via SNMP.
The basic setup and status monitoring can be performed with the control panel and the LC display at the devices front.
